Camping Park Albatros Village: The ultimate family campsite in Tuscany — with 6 swimming pools and entertainment
Just 800 metres from the Tuscan coast, between the harbour towns of San Vincenzo and Piombino, you’ll find hu Park Albatros Village. It’s the perfect holiday destination for a sun, sea, and swimming pool break with the whole family. We keep coming back year after year, and in our experience, it’s the best family campsite by the sea in Tuscany. (Find out why here in our hu Park Albatros review)
At Camping Park Albatros, you’ll find everything needed for an unforgettable holiday with children and young teenagers, from the enormous 20,000m² water park with 6 different swimming pools and a complete summer entertainment programme, to a proper tree-top adventure course on the campsite and loads more besides, including sports pitches and mini golf.
When you finally manage to prise the children away from the campsite, you’re just a short stroll from the beach. This beach slopes gently into the sea, making it safe for children. Alternatively, take a trip to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, explore authentic Florence, or hop on a boat to Elba.
Don’t fancy leaving the campsite for a day? No worries, at Camping Park Albatros you’ll find a large supermarket with fresh croissants and rolls amongst other things (though you’ll need to get there early or they’ll be sold out), several excellent restaurants (how does pizza la mama with fresh tomatoes and basil sound, under the pine trees, whilst the children grab an ice cream?), a sweet shop, a gelateria, and various food trucks.
For a cooling dip, you can head to one of the many swimming pools on the campsite—when I arrive, I still wonder whether it’s a swimming pool with a campsite attached or a campsite with a swimming pool! You’ll find 3 lagoon pools with slides, play equipment, sand dunes, and tunnels for hours of fun.
For less pleasant weather, there’s an indoor heated swimming pool, which means you can still enjoy a lovely swim in the shoulder seasons too. And for the real fitness enthusiasts, there’s the 50m pool for proper swimming lengths, or you can join in with the aqua fitness classes. (If you’re too knackered to walk back to your accommodation afterwards, no problem—there’s a free little train that runs around the campsite.)
A sun, sea, and swimming pool holiday packed with fun for the children, and enough restaurants so you don’t have to cook. It’s the recipe for unforgettable memories. Tuscany at its absolute best.
